10th China Off-Highway Vehicle Summit 2017

Duxes held the 10th China Off-Highway Vehicle Summit 2017 on October 19-20 in Shanghai. The summit gathered leaders in the off-highway vehicle sector, representing domestic and international OEMs, components suppliers, government agencies, and industry associations, to pool knowledge and experience on the Chinese market.

The event opened with a thorough look at policies and regulations for off-highway vehicles in China. An official from the Ministry of Environmental Protection, and a representative from the China Construction Machinery Association explained emissions standards, the One Belt One Road initiative, and subsidies for off-highway vehicles. That afternoon, OEM representatives explored technological innovation pertaining to transmission systems, big data, lightweight materials, hydraulics, in addition to trends for used equipment. Dana and SSAB, as industry representatives, were interviewed by journalists. The final day focused on future trends in intelligent manufacturing, and highlighted growth points for the agricultural machinery and mining machinery markets. The event closed with content on product distinctions and the development of new energy off-highway products.

In addition, two press conferences were held for strategic partner SSAB, and sponsor Dana, in which representatives from both companies detailed their activities and strategic plans for the Chinese market.

The 10th China Off-Highway Vehicle Summit 2017 concluded as a success, and furthered Duxes’ decade of engagement with the off-highway vehicle industry in China. In light of continual improvements to new energy vehicle technologies, lightweight materials, and intelligent manufacturing, the event served a vital role, by educating players in the Chinese market on crucial technological developments.
