Global Commercial Vehicle and Off-Highway Vehicle Summit 2017

December 6-8, 2017 · Hilton Chicago Hotel, USA

Duxes hosted the Global Commercial Vehicle and Off-Highway Vehicle Summit 2017 on December 6-8 in Chicago, drawing representatives from leading international OEMs, government policymakers, as well as researchers and industry analysts, to discuss important developments in the global commercial and off-highway vehicle markets, including regulations, technological innovation, and consumer trends.

The summit’s first day consisted of a diesel engine special, with testimony from across the off-highway industry. Presentations broke down the heavy duty aftermarket, the future viability and emissions from internal combustion engines, and explored the prospects of hydrogen fuel cells. A panel, composed largely of researchers and academics, discussed alternative fuels in the United States, including relevant regulations, and ascendant technologies. The following day focused on the commercial vehicle market. Speakers covered freight transportation, diesel combustion, the regulatory framework for diesel engines in China, and benchmarking excavator performance through use of PEMS systems. A panel discussion detailed future trends for new energy vehicles, noting areas for improvement with regard to emissions and efficiency. The final day featured content on off-highway vehicles. Presentations addressed the global construction equipment market, conditions in the construction machinery industry, product development, and market positioning for products in the United States.

The Global Commercial Vehicle and Off-Highway Vehicle Summit 2017 concluded as a resounding success. Duxes’ first event in North America was lauded for its comprehensive coverage of off-highway and commercial vehicles, and the interactive format, which offered numerous opportunities for free discussions among delegates.
