2nd Duxes Automotive Aftermarket Summit 2017

The 2nd Duxes Automotive Aftermarket Summit 2017 was held on November 13-14 in Shanghai. The summit educated attendees on significant developments in the auto aftermarket, with input from leaders in the field representing trade associations, OEMs, auto parts suppliers, distributors and dealers, online platforms, auto repair shops, insurance companies, oil companies, auto coating companies etc.

The first day of the event detailed conditions in the Chinese aftermarket. Presentations addressed opportunities for maintenance shops in the wake of recent policy reforms, the lubricants market, statistical data on the Chinese aftermarket, and analysis of the aftermarket in China as compared with mature markets. Further content analyzed regulations governing automotive sales, and noted the importance of developing effective supply chains. The sole panel discussion of the day looked into the effects of environmental protection policies and emissions standards on car coating and repair markets.

The summit’s final day explored trends and innovation in the aftermarket. Representatives of prominent e-commerce platforms, including retailer JD.com, explained their company’s business models, in addition to thoughts on smart pricing and integrated service. The Head of Duxes’ Remanufacturing and Automotive Aftermarket Business analyzed changes to aftermarket business models in China. The event concluded with a pair of panel discussions on the relationship between the independent aftermarket, OEMs, auto components suppliers, and repair shops.

The 2nd Duxes Automotive Aftermarket Summit 2017 nurtured high-level exchanges from professionals working for a diverse range of enterprises, from auto parts suppliers and distributors to OEMs and repair shops. This process helped clarify the future of the rapidly expanding and digitalizing Chinese aftermarket, by bringing essential knowledge and successful practices to the public.
