2nd Asia Pacific Insurance Summit 2018

June 7-8, 2018 · Novotel Singapore Clarke Quay, Singapore

Duxes held the 2nd Asia Pacific Insurance Summit 2018 on June 7-8 in Singapore. The summit provided a platform for professionals, including policymakers and representatives from prominent insurers and trade associations, to discuss a range of important topics related to the rapidly-developing insurance industry in Asia.

The event opened with testimony on digital insurance distribution strategy, and a presentation detailing and forecasting the Chinese insurance market from event chairman Xu Wenhu, President of the Fudan University Insurance Research Institute. Later content included presentations addressing bancassurance business models, cost containment practices for medical insurance, and the risk profile for extended vehicle warranties, as well as a panel discussion on comparative growth of insurance markets in Asia. The final day shed light on the promising Thai insurance market, distinctions between digital and traditional distribution models, the importance of consumer education, and concluded with a riveting panel discussion on the disruptive and revolutionary potential of internet sales channels.

The 2nd Asia Pacific Insurance Summit 2018 followed the success of last year’s event to deliver in-depth content on the growth of insurance markets across Asia. As disposable incomes in developing economies continue to rise, and digitalization takes hold, insurers are tasked with providing cutting-edge, relevant products, making active engagement with industry peers essential. Duxes will continue to build on its existing relationships within the Chinese insurance industry, and with insurers across the globe, to equip insurers with the tools necessary to succeed in today’s marketplace.
