6th Anti-Corruption Compliance Asia Pacific Summit 2018

Duxes held the 6th Anti-Corruption Compliance Asia Pacific Summit 2018 on June 21-22 in Singapore, offering a platform for delegates from corporate compliance departments, law and consulting firms, NGOs, and government authorities, to exchange views on the regional anti-corruption enforcement environment, and optimal compliance practices.

The first day of the summit included testimony from policymakers in major jurisdictions on anti-corruption enforcement environment in the U.S., Bangladesh, and Malaysia. A presentation from a U.N. official highlighted the organization’s global approach for combating private sector commercial bribery. Further content addressed the status of enforcement in Asia, the latest ISO anti-bribery management system, and strategies for managing organization, and challenges for multinationals in the current regional climate for anti-corruption enforcement.

The final day delved into the specifics of designing and implementing a compliance program. Presentations detailed effective whistleblower policies and internal investigation procedures, the role of compliance culture in an organization, and managing third party risk. The event concluded with a panel discussion tailored for multinational corporations, highlighting how compliance officers can work constructively with foreign headquarters in a foreign jurisdiction.

The 6th Anti-Corruption Compliance Asia Pacific Summit 2018 followed the success of previous Duxes anti-corruption summits, delivering comprehensive coverage of major developments in the field of anti-corruption compliance.
