Beijing Summit to Tackle Anti-Corruption Compliance and Enforcement Head on

Duxes 11th Anti-corruption Compliance in China Summit 2018

June 6-8, 2018 · Crowne Plaza Beijing Chaoyang U-Town, China

Corruption is a grave social problem afflicting every society, costing the global economy an estimated 2% of annual GDP. The World Bank has determined that the poor pay a disproportionate share of income in bribes, and are kept impoverished largely by the economic obstacles created by corruption. In recent years however, government authorities have been more vigilant in enforcing anti-corruption laws, and more inclined to work across borders to combat trans-national corruption. In China, a vigorous anti-corruption campaign has made substantial progress, and companies have taken measures to adapt to the new enforcement environment.

With the goal of assisting companies in designing and implementing anti-corruption compliance measures, Duxes will host the 11th China Anti-Corruption Compliance Summit 2017 on June 6-8, in Beijing. The three-day summit will bring together leaders in the field, from industry and government, to discuss recent changes to anti-corruption policy and enforcement in China and around the world, and detail best compliance practices.

The event will delve into important developments related to anti-corruption enforcement, including recent FCPA actions, implications of the Belt and Road Initiative in China, anti-bribery case studies, with input from policymakers on the front lines. Additional content will explore risk management strategies, compliance challenges for Chinese and international companies, third party due diligence, internal investigation and audit procedures.

The 11th China Anti-Corruption Compliance Summit promises to fulfill Duxes’ decade-long commitment to helping companies combat corruption, and facilitating exchange between private and public sector institutions. Professionals working in compliance, for law and consulting firms, or in related fields, are invited to attend.
